Service framework and user responsibilities
4Drive Oman operates as a booking platform connecting travelers with independent rental companies across Oman. We facilitate reservations but do not own vehicles or act as a rental operator. Your binding agreement forms directly with the supplier listed in your booking voucher.
When you complete a reservation through our system, you receive a voucher detailing the supplier contact, pickup instructions, and reservation reference. The advance payment secures your booking. Full terms, vehicle condition, fuel policy, and mileage rules come from the supplier at their counter in Muscat, Salalah, or pickup location.
The booking advance paid online goes to 4Drive Oman for platform services. Rental charges, optional coverage, fuel, and any deposit requirements are settled directly with the supplier. Deposit methods vary by company - many partners allow cash or debit, eliminating credit card requirements.
Vehicle condition, insurance coverage, roadside assistance, contract terms, and damage assessment rest entirely with the rental company. 4Drive Oman does not control supplier policies, vehicle availability, or operational decisions. Disputes regarding vehicle performance, billing, or contract interpretation require resolution with the supplier.
Drivers must hold a valid license recognized in Oman and meet age restrictions set by the supplier. You agree to provide accurate booking information and arrive at the scheduled pickup time. Traffic violations, toll fees, and off-road damage incurred during the rental period remain your responsibility. Route 15 mountain passes and Jebel Akhdar checkpoints enforce strict 4WD rules - confirm vehicle capability before departure.
4Drive Oman liability is limited to the booking advance amount. We are not responsible for supplier service quality, vehicle mechanical failures, delayed pickups, or third-party claims arising from your rental period. Force majeure events - including road closures, weather disruptions, or regulatory changes - may affect availability without compensation.
